TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iran’s Justice Minister Gholam Hossein Elham in a meeting with his Tanzanian counterpart here on Saturday said the two countries share common international stances
“We do not perceive any limits to the expansion of relations between the two countries,” he said, adding, “Given the recent launch of the two countries’ cooperation in the cultural and economic areas, we should strive to further expand the two sides’ relations through a bolstering of legal and judicial cooperation.”
Elham also stressed that growing cultural and economic cooperation between the two sides necessitates increasing legal and judicial back-ups.
He further described Iran’s relations with African states following the Islamic Revolution as significant and strategic, and stated, “We are pleased to see that following the Islamic Revolution, the two countries’ relations have consolidated due to the two sides’ Islamic and brotherly stances as well as cooperation and common views about campaign against injustice, poverty and apartheid.”
Elsewhere, the minister noted the two countries’ joint stances in the international arena, and said, “These stances are based on the restoration of justice as well as campaign against oppression, poverty and discrimination.”
He also praised Tanzania’s stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian nation as well as the country’s positive vote in support of Iran in the United Nations Human Rights meetings, stressing, “These stances display the justice-oriented view of Tanzania in dealing with international issues.”
For her part, Tanzanian Justice Minister Mary Michael Nagu briefed Elham about her country’s judiciary system, and further called for the bolstering of legal and judicial cooperation between the two states.
