Quake Hits Southern Iran

A036930122.jpgTEHRAN (FNA) An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted the port city of Kong in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan on Saturday.

The seismological network of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 04:07:40 hours local time (00:37:40 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was located in an area measuring 54.9 degrees in longitude and 26.9 degrees in latitude.

According to the provincial Natural Disasters Headquarters, the quake has caused no casualties or damage to properties.
