TEHRAN (FNA) Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in a message on Sunday demanded secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to arrange an extraordinary meeting of the OIC foreign ministers to deal with the inhuman crimes committed by the Zionist regime of Israel in Gaza.
According to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau, Mottaki condemned the ongoing massacres and human catastrophe caused by the Israeli regime in the occupied territories.
He further called on the OIC chief to call for an immediate meeting to verify crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and devise proper and urgent mechanisms to force the Israeli regime to stop its barbaric crimes against Palestinians.
The issue has also been raised during a phone talk between Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah bin Ahmad Badawi whose country holds OIC’s rotating presidency.
Iran has also dispatched similar massages to the foreign ministers of the OIC member states to pinpoint necessity of such a meeting.
