TEHRAN (FNA) – US President George Bush has failed in making any remarkable achievement at home and abroad during his term of office, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman said, adding that Bush is unlikely to hide its defeats and failures through projecting blame and responsibility on others.
“We, just like Americans, heard the cliché speech of Bush last night, which lacked any new point or subject,” Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said
following the Tuesday night speech of the US president, a statement released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said.
“Unfortunately, during the last seven years, we have constantly witnessed Bush’s futile statements and unfounded and insignificant accusations against our country and it is easily felt that people and even US representatives are tired of such statements,” he added.
“Mr. Bush is in the final months remaining from his presidency and as he has not made any remarkable achievement at home and abroad during his term of office, he is unlikely to hide its defeats and failures through projecting blame and responsibility on others. The world public opinion has sufficient information about his unethical and illegal methods.”
Hosseini recommended that the US president address actual concerns and worries of the Americans who, he said, are experiencing a crushing economic recession, blatant violation of human values by undemocratic instructions, and the acute moral crisis of the United States’ exhausted and disoriented soldiers in Iraq, and find a solution to such problems so that a positive point could be registered in his record.
