Netanyahu at the border with Lebanon: “We will restore security – one way or another”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the border with Lebanon in the north of the country, from where he stated that Israel is ready to take strong action in the area.

Israeli border towns in the north, many of which have been evacuated, are often targeted by rocket and drone attacks from the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

The rockets caused massive fires this week, resulting in large areas being burned across northern Israel.
“Anyone who thinks they can harm us while we sit with our arms crossed is making a big mistake. We are ready for very strong action in the north. One way or another, we will restore security in the north,” said Netanyahu.

Let’s recall that Hezbollah, which is supported by Tehran, has been exchanging fire with Israel for the past eight months alongside the war in Gaza, raising concerns that a broader conflict could break out between the heavily armed adversaries.

Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have reached their worst level since they fought a war in 2006, and tens of thousands of people on both sides of the border have been forced to leave their homes.
