TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran and Belarus have good prospects for developing their relations, a senior official in Minsk said.
“Our relations become more intensive,” chairman of the Council of Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Henadz Navitski said at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Minsk Abdolhamid Fekri.
“The volume of trade between our countries has almost doubled for the years of your staying in Belarus.”
Henadz Navitski also noted that forming of a contractual basis between Belarus and Iran is fruitful.
Abdolhamid Fekri, for his part, described the current trade volume between the two sides as just a launch pad for bilateral cooperation, and added, “Joint projects, which are carried on or will be conducted in the nearest future, are estimated at billions dollars.”
The envoy also extended an invitation on behalf of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to Henadz Navitski to visit Iran for joint inter-parliamentary consultations.
