Cuban Fair to Celebrate Iran Day

Nearly 56 nations and 25 official delegations, some of them led by ministers and presidents from business chambers, are attending the trade event, which is scheduled to end on November 8.

Of 3,399 business people, 2,505 are foreigners, organizers stated.

After opening the fair Monday, Cuban Vice-president Carlos Lage told the press that those meetings are strengthening and are an important element in the Caribbean island’s trade relations with the rest of the world, Prensa Latina reported.

“The aim is not to do larger, but better fairs,” Lage stressed, “as for the quality of products, technologies and negotiations.”

The Havana Fair proves that the policy of the US-imposed economic, trade and financial blockade on Cuba for almost 50 years is a failure, the Cuban vice-president stated.
