Sofia. Most probably the next EC report will be released after the elections for national and European parliaments in Bulgaria, but this supposition should not make us calm because whatever the election results, this will be a report on Bulgaria, Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev said at the opening of a working meeting about the government’s emergency measures and actions supplementing the action plan on the benchmarks in the area of judiciary, fight against corruption and organized crime.
He says that over the months to come all institutions should join forces in their work on the plan because it is important for Bulgaria and because the public have such expectations. He says the citizens expect systematic measures in the field of legislation, EU funds, public procurements, Conflict of Interest Act, Commission for establishment of property acquired from criminal activity, and pre-trial phase.
