Mottaki: Iran Entitled to Nuclear Technology

A0162364.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- In a telephone conversation with his Egyptian Counterpart Ahmad Abu-al-Ghayt, the Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki stressed peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki said, ” as a signatory to the NPT, Iran is entitled to gain access to advanced nuclear technology.”

According to the Iranian foreign ministry’s information and press office, Iranian foreign minister Manuchehr Mottaki and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmad Abu-al-Ghayt discussed mutual relations as well as Iran’s nuclear case in a telephone conversation on Monday.

In this telephone conversation, Iranian foreign minister Mottaki laid emphasis on the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program and said, ” Iran, as one of the signatories of the Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) is entitled to gain access to advanced nuclear technology.”

Mottaki also made reference to the current situation in the Middle East region and reiterating the sensitive situation prevailing there, stressed the national unity of Palestine.
