Supreme Leader Stresses Significance of Criticism

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei advised Iranian youth to employ an analytic mind when viewing the country’s affairs and to state their criticisms whenever needed.

The leader made the aforementioned remarks in a meeting with the exemplary university students and representatives of various political and cultural groups and gatherings of universities here on Tuesday night.

He underscored that criticism is among the most wanted elements, if a country intends to achieve its ideals and goals.

The Grand Ayatollah viewed the future of the Islamic Revolution as lustrous and promising, and asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran will play a key role in global equations, saying, “In order to reach that desirable future, the Islamic Republic of Iran is in need of reliable, committed, efficient, and pious youth.”

He also pointed out that the enemies are making investments on certain student gatherings today, adding, “Even the US and Israeli intelligence services are ready to help certain perverted student gatherings in order to damage noble student currents.”

Ayatollah Khamenei further reminded his audience about the importance of the power of political understanding and analysis for universities and university students.

He underlined the need for the promotion of the religious knowledge of university students, and asked the Iranian youth not to be satisfied with their status quo and to search for a better future for themselves and their country everlastingly.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged the noble and healthy student gatherings to understand and keep abreast of the political atmosphere of the country and make efforts to help the country reach its bright future.

He also stressed that he was profoundly delighted at the meeting, and stated, “A fresh and lively approach to issues and phenomena as well as new thoughts and attitudes and having idealistic expectations and critical language as a result of these expectations are the prominent characteristics which make meetings with the youth, university students in particular, attractive and pleasing.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei is much keen on meeting with the young generation to discuss their problems and listen to their suggestions and proposals, and he attends similar sessions with the youth periodically.
