Knežević claims to have proof

MONTENEGRO

Former chief of the Montenegrin trade mission in Washington, Ratko Knežević, said that he can prove his allegations regarding cigarette smuggling activities.

“My publicly stated claims in the media will once again be confirmed officials, and the material evidence which I have will be submitted,” Knežević said regarding the statements he gave to the media earlier about Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović’s involvement in cigarette smuggling.

Montenegrin Police Chief Veselin Veljović said on Sunday that police inspectors would interview the former Đukanović ally, but that “material evidence is needed to go along with his claims,” in order for the case to be taken to court eventually.
