TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stressed that no world state is capable of preventing his country’s move towards full acquisition of the peaceful nuclear technology.
Speaking in a meeting with the families of martyrs in the western province of Kermanshah on Tuesday, Ahmadinejad said that Iranians are insistent on their stances and may not give up even an iota of their inalienable rights, including access to peaceful civilian nuclear technology.
Meantime, he reminded that Iran is not fearful of the west’s threats, and added, “We initiated to suspend our nuclear activities for a while in order to soothe their excuses, but then we found out that they intend to block our progress and that all their alleged concerns about production of nuclear bombs are just an excuse to impede our nuclear progress.”
“Therefore, we decided to stand up to these bullying powers,” Ahmadinejad continued.
He also said if the enemy tries to legitimize its illegal decisions by using the UN Security Council, “then the world should know that such a Security Council lacks status de jure from the view point of the Iranian people and all the other freedom-seeking nations of the world.”
