Sejdiu, Thaci call on UN to reject Serbia’s resolution

Top Kosovo Albanian officials have sent a joint letter to UN member countries and international organizations. In it, Hashim Thaci and Fatmir Sejdiu are calling for Serbia’s resolution on Kosovo to be rejected at the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly.

A statement issued in Priština on Monday notes that the letter was prompted by the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) which, according to this, “legally confirmed Kosovo’s declaration of independence”.

he letter was sent to the leaders of UN member countries and to the leaders of international organizations such as the Organization of the Islamic Conference, The Arab League, the Organization of American States, OSCE, the Council of Europe and others.

The letter was also sent to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
