Bulgarian Defense Minister visits Turkey

Turkish Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul has met his Bulgarian counterpart Anyu Angelov in Ankara. Before meeting his Bulgarian counterpart Gonul said that after Bulgaria’s NATO accession the bilateral political, economic and defense ties improved.

Angelov said that both Bulgaria and Turkey considered it important to guarantee the peace in the region.

Asked about NATO missile defense system, Angelov said Bulgaria would support the Alliance’s decision.
