Iran, Ghana Expand Economic Cooperation

A02582631.jpgTEHRAN (Fars news Agency)- Iran’s Minister of cooperation Mohammad Abbasi and Ghana’s Food and Agriculture Minister Ernest Debrah discussed development of relations and boosting of cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Abbasi pointed out that Iran’s cooperative sector enjoys high potentials in different economic areas, including agriculture, and mentioned that production and agricultural cooperatives in Iran play a very influential and successful role in the country’s economy.

“Iran enjoys an advanced technology in grounds of agriculture and it has succeeded in reaching self-sufficiency in the production of strategic products, specially in the production of wheat,” he continued.

The minister further stated that Iranian cooperatives and unions, in conformity with the decrees issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the president, are required to promote their cooperation with foreign countries, African states in particular.

The Iranian cooperation minister also stressed the need for the exchange of information, enhancement of cooperation on common grounds and facilitation of economic, scientific, technical, industrial, agricultural, trade and energy cooperation between the two countries.
