Croatia welcomes Serbia’s decision to drop charges against Purda

Croatian President Ivo Josipović and several Croat MPs welcomed Belgrade’s decision to drop charges against Tihomir Purda and two others. Josipović stressed that cooperation between countries had been seen to be the best way to prevent injustices such as the one suffered by Purda from being made. 

Deputy Speaker in the Croatian parliament Vladimir Šeks said that the Serbia’s decision to drop the prosecution of the Croatian veterans was an expected and good outcome of the process.  The decision was also welcomed by Croatia’s Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and parliament Speaker Luka Bebić early on Thursday.
