Bosnian prosecutors filed charges Friday (May 27th) against a former Bosnian Serb soldier for war crimes against Bosniaks committed during the 1992-1995 conflict. According to the indictment, Milan Markovic was involved in the torture of several Bosniak prisoners of war in the Sokolac municipality from June 1992 to March 1993.
In other news Friday, police arrested three people suspected of war crimes against Serbs during the conflict. Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Fikret Planincic were allegedly involved in the killing of 16 Serbs in the village of Serdare in 1992. Among the victims were two children.
