Divjak asks for return to Bosnia

Retired Bosnian Army general Jovan Divjak, who was arrested in Vienna in March on a Serbian warrant, has asked Austria to allow him to return to Bosnia as soon as possible.

Divjak, who was released on bail shortly after his arrest, is awaiting extradition hearings in Austria. Serbia has requested his extradition as part of investigation into his alleged involvement in an attack on a convoy of the Yugoslav People’s Army as it was leaving Sarajevo in May 1992.
