Serbian Deputy PM: almost all Hague conditions were fulfilled

Serbian Deputy PM Božidar Đelić welcomed the decision of the Dutch Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee to initiate the process of ratification of SAA between Serbia and the EU.

The move is very important for Serbia’s negotiations with the EU, the Serbian deputy PM in charge of EU integration said on Thursday in Belgrade.

It also shows that the Hague Tribunal condition has been largely fulfilled, he said.

“The fact that the country that has had the toughest position regarding Serbia’s full cooperation with Hague now sees that cooperation is full is good news for Serbia,” Đelić said.

“It also shows that the Hague condition, which has not been fully met because Serbia has yet to find Goran Hadžić too, is now largely behind us,” he said.

“It is important for Serbia that all or almost all EU member states ratify the SAA by the end of the year,” he noted.
