PACE will analyze report on Serbia

Counicl of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) will discuss Wednesday the report on Serbia’s fulfillment of conditions arising from the CoE membership.

According to the report, Serbia has met a great number of obligations and achieved considerable progress.

The Committee on the Honoring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States of the Council of Europe said in its report that Serbia had met a great number of obligations and commitments and had achieved considerable progress, notably in the field of regional cooperation and cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, while continuing the dialogue with Priština by peaceful and diplomatic means.

The Monitoring Committee considers that Serbia needs to make further progress in the setting-up of an independent and efficient justice system, independent media, the fight against corruption and the fight against discrimination.
