US Ambassador to Bulgaria refuted information that he was recalled early due to mistakes

James Warlick, American Ambassador in Sofia, said the rumors that he has been recalled early due to particular mistakes are not real, adding that he was leaving Bulgaria under a standard procedure.

“I have no scheduled departure date and I have not been recalled early due to something I have done. This is standard procedure for US Ambassadors. My wife is in the same situation. I have been here for 2 years and 9 months – this is standard. If I was to stay for 3 years and 3 months – this would be standard too,” Warlick said.
