Bulgaria can expect Azeri gas via the Nabucco West pipeline in end- 2018 or early 2019, according to Christian Dolezal, spokesperson of the Nabucco consortium.
“We are very optimistic because we provided everything the Shah Deniz consortium wanted. We have reached a very advanced stage of the permit issuance procedure. If all proceeds as planned, Bulgaria can expect Azeri gas supplies in end 2018-early 2019″ Dolezal said in a Thursday interview for the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).
The EU-backed Nabucco project is to carry Caspian natural gas to Europe by circumventing Russia.
