No deal after Belgrade-Pristina talks

The eighth round of the Kosovo dialogue ended in Brussels late on Tuesday with the two sides unable to reach an agreement.

Serbian PM Ivica Dacic addressed reporters in the early hours of Wednesday to say that while progress had been made, there was still no deal on police and judiciary powers that should be given to a future community of Serb municipalities in Kosovo.

Dacic stated after the 14-hour negotiating session that the failure to reach an agreement “was not the end of the talks”, and that “it will be necessary to consider all of this later, both in Belgrade and in Pristina.”

According to this, he also did not rule out the possibility of a new meeting.
