Serbia has new lead negotiator in EU membership talks

On Sunday, First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić offered Tanja Miščević the post of Serbia’s lead negotiator in EU membership talks, which she accepted.

Vučić conferred with Miščević in the Serbian government building, after consultations with Prime Minister Ivica Dačić and President of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić.

Vučić made such a proposal taking into account the professional quality of Tanja Miščević and expressing confidence that she will do the job in the best interest of the country, his office released in a statement.

Miščević said she gladly accepted Vučić’s offer to assume the position of Serbia’s chief negotiator in membership talks with the EU.
