New Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that his respective country is opposed to any sanctions to be imposed on Iran as a means for the settlement of Iran’s nuclear issue. Bosnia and Herzegovina’s new Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj in a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Sarajevo, Mohammad Reza Morshedzadeh, laid emphasis on Iran’s right of access to peaceful nuclear energy and stated that all diplomatic capacities should be employed for the solution and settlement of Iran’s nuclear case and in this regard the Bosnian authorities maintain clear and transparent stances.
He further emphasized the significance which is attached to exchange of visits by the Iranian and Bosnian officials and expressed preparedness to visit Tehran in the near future for the purpose of further consolidating relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In this meeting, Iranian ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina presented a detailed report concerning the status of relations between Tehran and Sarajevo and elaborated on Iran’s stances in the face of the nuclear case and the regional developments, expressing hope that mutual cooperation between Tehran and Sarajevo will experience further development subsequent to exchange of visits by the officials of the two states.
