Joint Georgian-US military-naval exercises are to be held at the port of Batumi on Tuesday.
The Georgian Coast Guard told Trend today that representatives of the Coast Guard service and the crew of U.S Mount Whitney will take part.
The U.S ship berthed at Batumi on November 11 for the planned visit. The purpose is to conduct the combined exercises with the Georgian Coast Guard.
In particular, joint military exercises against fire and the ship sinking are planned to be held on board. Theoretical exercises on sending signals using flags will be held.
The visit is being made through the U.S. sixth fleet to continue the global maritime partnership with the Black Sea countries and to improve maritime security.
