Turkish PM to visit Russia

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay a two-day visit to Russia next week to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria.

The Turkish prime minister is set to attend the fourth meeting of the High Level Cooperation Council between Turkey and Russia, a joint meeting of cabinet ministers from the two countries in Moscow next Thursday.

Erdogan is expected to hold a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the Syrian crisis, Iran’s nuclear issue and the situation in Egypt.

Particularly, the two leaders will discuss the role of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in a transitional government and exchange views on the content and date of the Geneva Conference II.
