US to train Libyan soldiers to maintain country’s stability

United States of America intend to launch the military training of 5,000 to 8,000 Libyan soldiers in the middle of 2014 so that Libya’s stability could be maintained.

The news was announced by General David M. Rodriguez, who is the Combatant Commander of the United States Africa Command.

Armed oppositional groups often enter into conflicts with government troops in Libya.

General Rodriguez said the Pentagon planned to hold a 8-month military training course in the frameworks of international aid aiming at guaranteeing peace and security in the [Maghreb] region, which was seized with tension after Muammar Gaddafi’s regime was toppled in 2011.
