EP votes resolution on Serbia

The European Parliament (EP) adopted on Thursday a report from rapporteur Jelko Kacin on Serbia’s progress in EU integration.

The non-binding resolution supports the start of Serbia’s EU membership talks, sees it as “a historic step forward for the process of Serbia’s EU integration,” and proof that the EU is dedicated further enlargement.

The EP held a debate on Wednesday and commended Serbia’s efforts to have normal relations with Priština and commitment to reforms.
