An Egyptian court on Wednesday adjourned the trial of former information minister Salah Abdel-Maqsoud, who served under ousted president Mohamed Morsi, to April 8.
Abdel-Maqsoud, who remains at large, along with a former official of the state-run Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU), are accused of squandering public funds in relation to the alleged theft of two television-production vehicles.
The ERTU claims that two TV-broadcasting vehicles were commandeered by supporters of ousted president Mohamed Morsi last summer.
The vehicles were found following the bloody August 14 dispersal of two pro-Morsi sit-ins in Cairo and Giza, which left hundreds of protesters dead and thousands injured.
