Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani and EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana decided to attend a new round of talks at the end of May. The date was decided during a phone talk between the two top diplomats, where Larijani and Solana also stressed the need for the achievement of a logical and legal solution to Iran’s nuclear issue through diplomatic means.
Prior to the phone conversation, Solana had said that he expected to hold new talks with Iran’s top nuclear negotiator on the Islamic republic’s nuclear program at the end of May.
Solana said his first face to face meeting since April 26 with Iran’s top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani “will probably take place at the end of the month.”
“I don’t know the exact date but we are working on it,” he said on the sidelines of a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
