Nigeria: Seven killed in another Boko Haram attack in Madagali

Seven people were killed on January 10 in an attack by members of Islamist group Boko Haram in Madagali in north-eastern Nigeria, reported AFP on Tuesday the police and a local official.
Another attack conducted by members of Boko Haram took place Sunday night at Madagali, a remote town north of Adamawa State, already under attack on 28 December, when two female suicide bombers blew themselves up in a market of the city, making a least 30 dead.
“They killed seven people and burned 10 houses,” said Tuesday the former Madagali administrative manager, Ularamu Maina, who said that the soldiers had chased the attackers into the bush. An assessment confirmed by the spokesman of the police Adamawa State, Abubakar Othman, who said that two people had also been injured.
The bush as a base
“We call on the security agencies to launch a mission (…) to drive out the insurgents, because they use the bush as an operational rear base, from where they attack Madagali and its surroundings,” added the first.
