Algerian army detachment clashes with terrorist in Jijel

imgA detachment of the Algerian People’s National Army has clashed, on Thursday afternoon, with the terrorist G. Mohamed Said in the locality of Bouhalouane (Jijel, 359-km east of Algiers), said the Ministry of National Defence in a communiqué.
“As part of the fight against terrorism and during a combing operation in the locality of Bouhalouane, commune of Bordj-Tahar, in the province of Jijel (5th Military Region), an Army detachment has clashed, on the afternoon of 30 June 2016, with the terrorist G. Mohamed Said, alias Saad (who joined terrorist groups in 1993),” said the communiqué.
“During the operation, the aforementioned terrorist opened fire on the Army detachment, who returned fire. His wife and his baby have been wounded during the clash and his three daughters have been arrested, while the search operation for the terrorist is still underway,” added the Ministry’s communiqué.
