Algerian army destroys 3 caches in Jijel, Boumerdes

imgThree caches for terrorists containing homemade bombs, one RPG-7 rocket and explosives have been destroyed Tuesday by detachments of the People’s National Army (ANP) in the provinces of Jijel and Boumerdes, the National Defence Ministry announced Wednesday in a communiqué.
“As part of the fight against terrorism, detachments of the ANP discovered and destroyed on 16 August 2016 in Jijel (5th military region) and Boumerdes (1st military region) three caches for terrorists containing two homemade bombs, one RPG-7 rocket and explosives,” the same source added.
Besides and as part of the fight against organized crime, a detachment of the ANP “seized 14 kg of cannabis in Ouargla (4th military region).”
“In Tin Zaouatine and In Guezzam (6th military region), detachments of the ANP apprehended one smuggler and seized two all-train-vehicles loaded with a 1.5 ton of foodstuffs, 2kg of explosives, detonation means and one truck loaded with 2700 units of furniture.”
Moreover, elements of the Border Guards in Annaba (5th military region) “thwarted an illegal emigration attempt of 13 individuals aboard an artisanal craft 4 miles northeast of Ras El Hamra,” the communiqué added.
