Europe’s scientific development is undoubtedly indebted to Muslim, and specially Iranian, scientists and scholars, Iran’s Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said. Addressing a group of the short-term students of the World Center of Islamic Sciences here on Wednesday, Rafsanjani also added, “But today, this is the Islamic world which unfortunately needs western sciences.”
Rafsanjani further pointed to Iran’s scientific advancements and achievements in past centuries, specially in the era after the advent of Islam, and said, “The Islamic Revolution is decisive to restore that glorious and magnificent era.”
“Enemies of Islam are fearful of these efforts and that’s why they create problems to impede this movement,” he continued.
