Iranian Foreign Minister Manushaher Mottaki described the statements by US President Georges W. Bush on Iran as made “out of despair” in order to justify the presence of US Forces in Iraq and lose attention on the deteriorating popularity of his administration. Mottaki explained that the US Administration is trying to contain its administration’s “incredibility”, especially in the Middle East.
He accused President Bush of destabilizing the region and bringing it into an arms race. Mottaki added that the US Administration in Iraq is based on wrong information and reports.
