Sharp Co. Seeking a Bigger Share of Iranian Market

A01895667.jpgJapan’s Sharp Company has decided to start a new round of activities in Iran to own a bigger share of the country’s market, a senior company official said here on Sunday. The company’s Middle-East director told reporters that Sharp already owns 45% of the Japanese market and is the world’s biggest supplier of copying and office tools and products.

He also said that his company has decided to increase production of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) monitors to 100 mln sets by 2010, given the high demand existing for this product in the world markets.
