The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) voiced its strong support for Iran’s right to access and use nuclear technology. In the final statement of a meeting of the OIC foreign ministers in New York which was held on the sidelines of the 62nd UN General Assembly meeting, the top diplomats of the member states also strongly condemned efforts by some world powers to make an instrumental use of the UN Security Council against the OIC member states, a report released by the Foreign Ministry’s Information and Press Bureau said.
Elsewhere, the OIC statement also condemned the efforts made by certain states to misuse the world “terrorism” to undermine the face of Islamic countries to attain their specific political goals.
The OIC members further condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime in Lebanon and Palestine and its recent air intrusion into Syria as well as the acknowledgement of the Israeli prime minister of possessing nuclear weapons.
The statement also condemned the bullying and unilateral measures adopted against the member states of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
