Iran’s Top N. Negotiator Resigns

A034440211.jpgIran’s chief nuclear negotiator and secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani has resigned from his post, Iranian Government Spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham said here on Saturday. “Mr. Larijani had personal problems and was willing to operate in other political and management areas,” Elham said, adding that the top nuclear negotiator had several times asked President Ahmadinejad to accept his resignation.

The spokesman said that Larijani would be replaced by Iranian deputy foreign minister for European and American affairs Saeed Jalili.
