The decision to impose sanctions against Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps was adopted by the US when it was in a state of deep paralysis, an IRGC statement said here on Friday. “The United States’ warmongering ruling party is truly angry these days because it observes that despite all the astronomical expenses it has made, it has lost credit in the world due to the failure of all its criminal and devilish measures,” the statement said, adding, “and it embarked on imposing unilateral sanctions on the IRGC and a number of Iranian banks and companies in a bid to soothe its pains and anger and heal its wounds under such conditions that it was in deep paralysis as it realized that all its plots to block the path of Iran’s nuclear scientists and Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities have failed.”
The statement further stressed that despite all such illegitimate measures, the IRGC would fulfill its duties and continue the path portrayed by the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
“…the IRGC will continue its duty …which is safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and protecting its independence and freedom, and calls on the world of Islam to cement solidarity and unity to confront cruel and bullying attitudes and save the oppressed nations,” it said.
