Iran and Malaysia are set to form a joint committee to exchange more tourists and help expand their tourism industry. Head of the Malaysian Tourism Association said that the aforementioned committee will be formed of representatives from the two countries’ embassies, tourism ministers, travel agencies and airline companies.
He further expressed hope that the committee could bolster tourism cooperation between the two Muslim states.
“It is hoped that the number of Iranian and Malaysian tourists paying a visit to the other country will be increased once the committee starts operation,” the Malaysian official said.
He also predicted that the number of Iranian tourists traveling to his country during the current year would reach 60,000.
