Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei called on the Iranian law enforcement police to be vigilant, warning that enemies seek to spark insecurities in Iran to disrupt the country’s scientific and political progress. “Those having ill intentions believe that success and glory of the Iranian nation is against the illegitimate interests they have defined for themselves. Therefore, they seek to disrupt (Iran’s) scientific and political progress and strive to cause insecurity and the law enforcement (police) should be much vigilant,” Ayatollah Khamenei told a congregation of the police cadets here in Tehran on Wednesday.
He further underlined the need for the law enforcement police to maintain and enhance security in the society, saying, “All citizens, irrespective of their religions, ethnicities, political tastes and tendencies, should be provided with security equally. Those disturbing people’s security are the only ones who should feel insecurity.”
The leader also ordered the police to refrain from practicing seasonal and transient plans, and stressed that the police should powerfully continue the plan for the enhancement of security in the society until the actual attainment of all premeditated goals.
