The 11th meeting of Iran-Oman joint economic commission was held in Masqat on Wednesday.

Tehran always seeks to remove the possible misunderstandings between the two states through talks and based on the 1971 Memorandum of Understanding, Iran’s envoy to the Inter-Parliamentary Union meeting in Indonesia said following allegations raised by the UAE’s representative about Iran’s three Persian Gulf islands.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki , in a meeting with his Omani counterpart Yusef bin Alavi, stressed the need for the two countries to utilize their potentials in a bid to promote mutual trade and economic cooperation.
