Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met his Greek counterpart George Papandreou last evening in Madrid during the EU-LAC summit, the government informed. During the meeting, the two prime ministers discussed name issue and Greece’s financial crisis.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton, Vice President of the European Commission, said the EU remains fully committed to resuming the talks in the 5+2 format without preconditions or delay, by observing the fundamental principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Moldova.
