France supports the lifting of EU visas for Macedonian citizens, French President Nicolas Sarkozy told Macedonian Premier Nikola Gruevski Friday in Paris. Macedonian media media cited Sarkozy as saying that France would unambiguously support any European Commission’s recommendation for lifting the visa regime for Macedonian citizens.

Romanian President Traian Basescu visited Paris Monday to discuss among other issues the possibility of building a nuclear reactor for Romania, with France’s leader. French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s office said Monday’s meeting over lunch would be devoted mainly to bilateral issues, the Associated Press reported.
