Three Egyptian soldiers were killed on Tuesday in the Sinai peninsula. A conscript was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the city of Al-Arish in North Sinai. The attackers were riding a car when they shot the conscript near Al-Arish’s central security headquarters.

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a resolution on Monday night asking President Obama to send lethal arms to Ukraine, media said. Representatives endorsed the resolution in a 348 to 48 vote, and such a proposal is also likely to enjoy widespread support in the Senate.
