The signing of the peace and reconciliation agreement in Mali is a “very significant” step made by Algeria in its efforts for the resolution of the conflict in the neighbouring country, said Tuesday in Geneva Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), which leads the mediation of inter-Libyan dialogue, has been active through the announcement of several meetings between the opposing parties, in addition to a meeting next week in Algeria to reach a political consensus meant to resolve the Libyan crisis.
