Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has sent a letter to Greek counterpart Antonis Samaras in which he calls for speeding up the process of negotiations over the name dispute between the two countries. 

Adli Mansour was on Thursday sworn in as interim head of state at the Supreme Constitutional Court in Cairo, Egypt. This came a day after the military overthrew President Muhamed Morsi in a coup.

Georgia will continue its aspiration for NATO membership. A meeting of the Euro-Atlantic Council held in Tbilisi last week testified to this, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
