Visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki here Tuesday was officially welcomed by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Al-Maliki, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived here this morning

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Tuesday assessed as “excellent” bilateral ties between the Iranian and Iraqi governments and nations. Ahmadinejad made the remark at a joint press conference with the visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki after the two sides held private talks.

TEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said in a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation here on Wednesday that withdrawal of the occupying troops would solve many problems of that country.
