Boycotting Iran Synonymous with Suspension of IAEA Inspections

A0062245.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission stressed that his commission is working on a bill which requires International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections to be suspended in the event any sanctions are imposed on Tehran.

“Europeans took their first step in their interactions with Iran very hastily and illogically, and we have a plan at the commission which rules for the halt of IAEA inspections in case rights of the Iranian nation are ignored and sanctions are imposed on us,” Alaoddin Boroujerdi told reporters on the sidelines of an open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Monday.

“In compliance with the same bill, we are studying the possibility of removing IAEA cameras now installed in our nuclear power plants, if ever the said conditions arise,” he continued.

Elsewhere, he referred to the interventionist statements of the Canadian Foreign Minister about Iran alleging that Tehran has been directly involved in the recent war in Lebanon and stressed, “Those who are defeated on the military scene normally utter such words.”

The legislative official further reminded that the army of the Zionist regime has sustained such notorious losses, casualties and defeats while it is among the first top armies of the world and meantime, receives extensive supports from the west, and the US in particular.
